How it plays
Five wooden pieces stand ready: white ghost, green bottle, blue book, gray mouse, red chair. A card is revealed. If one object matches in shape AND color exactly – grab it! If none matches exactly, grab the object that appears on the card in neither shape nor color. Grab wrong, and you hand over a card.
What it trains
Ghost Blitz is regarded by professionals as the textbook example of playful inhibition and flexibility training: every card requires determining the rule anew (grab directly or rule out?), suppressing the hasty reach and reasoning by elimination in a flash. Adults hold no advantage whatsoever – children win here regularly.
Community voices: Multi-award-winning and probably the most cited reaction game in therapy and education circles. Families love that kids beat grown-ups; the sequels (2.0, 5 to 12) extend the appeal once the base game feels "too easy" – which takes a while.
